About

Hi, I am Lisa Falls – a Registered Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 569). I work with individuals, families and couples and have been in the field for 25 years, 22 years in San Diego. I am truly passionate about helping people.

“Everyone is creative, it’s just a matter of the form it takes.”

I have presented and taught both locally and nationally. I mentor students, and provide group and individual supervision for Art Therapy, MFT and LPCC Interns and Associates.

I have also worked in hospices, residential treatment facilities, addiction recovery centers, in-patient, out-patient facilities and Alzheimer’s and memory care facilities. I was the Program Coordinator and instructor for the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) Extension Specialized Certificate in Therapeutic Uses of Art. I am a former member of the Board of Directors of the Survivors of Suicide Loss, San Diego and of the Board of Directors of  the San Diego Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

In my own life I have dealt with many different issues and suicide has been a part of that. You desire a supportive, safe environment to express yourself and be open. When you are ready to meet your truly wonderful self with your special, emotional gifts, come join me.

I was a team member on six trips to Louisiana to assist residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and was the lead trainer to facilitate on-going therapeutic art services for that population. I organized the first local exhibition of art by bereaved children and adolescents, “Journey to My Heart.”

I received a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley, Master of Fine Arts degree from Brooklyn College, and  Master of Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt University in New York.  Also, I have an EFT Certificate of Completion and a NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Advanced Certification.
